Sydney, Australia`s economic center, is expanding on a large scale, with supporting transport infrastructure, public facilities, educational facilities, residential and business district construction in full swing.

In the planning of government, New South Wales, West Sydney is the primary development zone, and important projects such as, Badgerys Creek Airport, West Sydney University and so on have been launched one after another. Of course, roads and bridges, airports and campus buildings are only the beginning, and the overall relocation of 4, 000 civil servants demonstrates government`s determination to lift Sydney`s second CBD.

40,000 civil servants 60,000 flat office buildings

On Friday, New State government announced that it would travel "westward" to find office space for more than 4,000 civil servants in the Western Sydney area, describing it as "the largest ever government agency lease commitment"-state government will need 62000 square meters of Class A office space to meet administrative space, ACB News reported.

In 2015, the state government decided that the state`s planning and environment "hub" would be located in west sydney. The three major government departments, the new state planning and environment department, the environment and heritage office, and the environmental protection bureau`s nearly 2500 public servants will be concentrated in the office.

It is understood that after the announcement of the westward relocation plan, the state government received a total of 28 lease solutions during the intention collection phase, ACB News reported. New State Finance, Services and real estate minister Poolot (Dominic Perrottet) confirmed today that several scheme providers have been tentatively selected and will wait for them to submit details. The closing date was November and the winning bidder was announced at the end of the year.

Poolot minister describes West Sydney as the "beating heart" of the new state economic. "We will build a large public service base here, and the scale of the rental of this office building is unprecedented", which will promote the employment boom and economic growth in West Sydney.

David Bauer (David Borger), head of West Sydney at the Sydney Chamber of Commerce, believes today`s decision and related investments will have a significant economic stimulus for West Sydney. This is the core of Sydney Metropolitan area, and the relocation of government will accelerate the development of professional services and retail economic.

Since 2014, government, the new state, has announced that more than 4200 civil servants will be transferred from CBD to West Sydney. Of these, more than 1800 Ministry of Education staff will be relocated to Palamata, the heart of Western Sydney, by 2018.

Palamat uncovers the tallest building

In order to gather popularity in West Sydney, the state government painstakingly, and even amended the planning rules.

Also on Friday, the New State Planning Department announced the approval of a A $291 million integrated commercial and residential development project, ACB News reported. A 43-story multifunctional building with apartments, offices and shopping facilities will be erected at the junction of Paramata Charles Street and McGregor Street, which is expected to create nearly 230 construction jobs and 65 long-term jobs.

It is worth noting that the proposed building was originally only allowed to build commercial buildings, state government approved, revised planning regulations. The limit is relaxed from 40 to 43 floors, allowing additional use, but at least four floors are required for office or shopping malls.

New state planning minister Stolks (Rob Stokes) said he believed the beautiful new building would brighten the skyline in West Sydney, highlighting Palamata`s status as Sydney`s second CBD. Palamata councillor Geoff Lee welcomed the progress, noting that Palamata is now under construction with empty overweight cranes, new houses, new office buildings and entertainment venues.

In addition to vigorously stimulating investment in office and residential facilities, the state government has also increased its investment in educational resources to provide adequate educational services to the growing population of Western Sydney, which will also attract more families to settle down in the western part of the city.

Earlier this month, the state government announced that it would fund the construction of 40 additional classrooms for Auburn North, Lidcombe and Marie Bashir, which could accommodate an additional 900 students.
