Chinese actor Gao Yunxiang is expected to enter the hearing again this morning in Sydney`s Central District Court in connection with the sexual invasion case. On the eve of the trial, defence lawyers revealed that Gao Yunxiang could face seven new charges.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald and the Daily Telegraph, Gao Yunxiang was charged with two counts of complicity in serious sexual invasion crimes and pleaded guilty earlier.
It is reported that the case occurred while Gao Yunxiang was filming a new film, "Anaya romance," in Australia. He and producer Wang Jing allegedly committed a 36-year-old woman at sexual invasion in Room 1618 of Hotel Shangri La Santa Monica in Sydney`s rocky district of (The Rocks) on March 27.
When the case passed earlier, court heard that plaintiff had been seriously bruised and police found blood and semen in the hotel room.
Gao is expected to be charged with seven new charges, including illegal detention of victims, Gao Yunxiang`s lawyer, Cohen (Warwick Korn), told the media yesterday.
When the case last appeared in Sydney`s Central District Court on Nov. 1, court said it would decide whether the victim would be required to appear at the pre-trial stage after a hearing with the prosecution and defence on November 9.
According to sources, Gao Yunxiang moved into a A $6000-a-month rental property at (Chatswood), Sydney, after he was approved for bail in June, and his wife Dong Xuan often came to Australia to accompany him. Gao Yunxiang has been required to wear electronic surveillance footrings.
