American President Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, on Thursday (October 22,2020) held their last face-to-face before the November 3 presidential election.

In the debate at a university in nashville, tennessee, the two candidates argued tit-for-tat on issues such as the new crown epidemic, national security, health care, immigration, race and the environment, and talked about china's role on many of them.

On the issue of the new crown, President Trump said he had decided to ban visitors from China from the United States in the face of virus, from China, but was accused by Biden of being xenophobic. Mr. biden responded that at the time of the outbreak, Trump president did not try to send u.s. health officials and experts to Wuhan to investigate virus sources, but praised china for its effective and transparent response.

Over the past few months, Trump have described the "china virus ""as the new crown pandemic that caused significant economic and human losses in the u.s. and insisted that china would pay for it.

On the issue of national security, debate host and national broadcaster (NBC) program host, Kristen Welker, asked the two candidates how they would pay for china if elected.

Trump said in response that China is paying billions of dollars in tariffs, so it is already paying the price. He did not propose new measures that would require China to pay for Coronavirus proliferation.

The two candidates also mentioned China in their debate on global climate change. Trump accused the Paris climate agreement of imposing limits on China's carbon emissions only in 2030, which is extremely unfair to the United States. Biden said if elected, he would lead the United States back to the Paris climate agreement and call on China to take responsibility for climate change.

The two candidates' arguments on how to deal with china's challenges have been complicated by respective accusations that the other side has a private interest in china.

Trump accused Biden of allowing his son Hunter to conduct lucrative business deals in Ukraine and China during his vice-president.

Biden argued that he had never earned a penny from abroad or committed any illegal acts. Mr. Biden pointed to Trump having a bank account in China, accusing Trump companies of seeking lucrative business interests in China.

Trump said he opened a bank account in China in 2013, looking for business opportunities in China like many people, but gave up using it before announcing a presidential campaign in 2015. By contrast, Trump said Biden's son's deal with China took place during Biden's presidency.

Thursday's debate could be the last big opportunity for Trump to try to weaken Biden's lead in national and state polls. Biden is Trump 9 to 10 points ahead in nationwide polls, and in the "battleground states" that are crucial to Trump results, polls show Biden leading by about 4 to 5 percent. Trump don't like the results. He said that on the eve of the election four years ago, the polls seemed to be bad for him, but he won.
