Court learned that a Catholic high school teacher who had a close relationship with his students would sneak into his house to have sex.
Former Christian Brothers College teacher Sonia Mackay gave the student the keys to his home and provided him with wine, drug and cigarettes.
The 42-year-old teacher had sex with the student at the age of 17.
Prosecutors say she has been seducing the boy for months.
Court learned that they would meet at her house and that she would sneak into the boy`s home when his parents weren`t home.
Mackay bought expensive gifts and underwear for the boy and left some of his clothes at her house.
In the victim`s statement, the boy said he had a mental breakdown every day and he never wanted to see his teacher again.
Court learned that Mackay threat would be self-debilitating to manipulate the boy to keep the relationship going.
The victim`s mother says Mackay lacks a moral bottom line.
Mackey burst into tears as he read the letter of apology to the family.
"I`m ashamed of myself," she said. I`m a good man but I made a huge mistake.
Judge is sentencing Mackay next month.
