Today is Mother`s Day, Australian Prime Minister (Malcolm Turnbull) and wife Lucy (Lucy) appeared in Sydney`s Central Business District (CBD), that morning for the Mother's Day Classic Mother`s Day Breast Cancer Charity Road Race.
The prime minister and his wife, dressed in pink pullovers, arrived at the event early on Sunday morning and greeted the survivors and their families before the road began, the Australian news agency reported. Tan also took the opportunity to convey Unionparty`s determination to implement the drug welfare program (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) and promised that his government would remain committed to ensuring that "the best drugs, and the best treatment" were available to all.
The prime minister congratulated all cancer survivors involved in the road race, saying everyone was doing their best to "beat breast cancer". He said before the event: "the love you showed this morning in support of breast cancer research helped us through emotional difficulties and helped us to achieve our goal of fully defeating breast cancer by 2030." It is understood that some of the streets of Sydney`s CBD were closed on the day of the event. For safety reasons, some of the semi-trailers were in the way of many street crossings.
