After three years of being attacked by racist remarks, the Australian Chinese female councillors finally waited for the apology they should have made.

The incident began in March 2016, when a new state police district sheriff, Jack Zaineddine, posted a Facebook post about racial discrimination against Greens congressman Jenny Leong:

Zaineddine also posted another post calling Leong`s father a "monkey."

In April 2016, Leong filed a prosecute case with the Police Integrity Commission and 10 police officers suspected of commenting or endorsing the posts were investigated.

In November 2018, it was not clear whether the new state police had taken any precautionary measures without receiving the results of the new state police`s handling of the officers concerned and it was not clear whether the new state police had taken any precautions.

Jenny Leong filed a complaint with the human rights Committee of Australia alleging that these statements were racial hate speech under section 18C of the racial Discrimination Act.

Leong`s lawer Sivaraman said: "Jenny`s complaint has been communicated to the new state police since it was filed in April 2016, and she has yet to receive a substantive response from the police to the results of the investigation and the results of the process. For Jenny, it was never about revenge, but to make sure that the new state police were responsible for what had happened and that they would find out about it, and that they had zero tolerance for it. "

Leong asked the new state police to publicly apologize for the incident and to provide cultural and racial awareness training to the new state police.

New state police responded on Monday:

The new state police said here that we have zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or speech at all times and that all police officers have an obligation to report misconduct.

The new state police have completed an investigation into the Jenny Leong complaint, and the new state police professional ethics department will conduct further internal investigations.

In December 2017, a new state police investigation found that some of the police officers made inappropriate remarks against other officials during off-duty hours, and we have taken disciplinary action against the officers involved.

New state police have apologized to Ms Leong.

The new state police hope that all officers respect and care for the citizens and that we will strictly abide by the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics (Code of Conduct and Ethics).

The new state police will continue to train all police personnel, and we will develop a training package designed specifically for social media use to complement existing training programs.

On Monday, following a police response, Leong said: "this statement was made after I filed a complaint with the Australian personnel Commission. I am glad that the matter has been settled. "
