California emergency recall of 10 million N95 masks

Adoque, based in santa clara, silicon valley, contracted california government in june to produce $90 million worth of N95 masks. But the state government has cancelled the contract. since the federal government inspection last week found that the Adoque N95 mask did not pass the inspection.

Newson's emergency office speaker ferguson (Brian Ferguson)18, said the state has 7.2 million Adoque of N95 masks have been allocated, there are still 3 million on hand.

The California nurse Reform Organization has issued a recall message on the N95 mask, and told California nurse :" Stop the mask immediately. "

The federal department responsible for the inspection of masks is the National Occupational Safety and Health Center. During last week's inspection, inspectors found that Adoque masks did not meet the requirements, so they did not issue a safety certificate to Adoque. The state's government and Adoque contract presupposes that Adoque must obtain a certificate.

N95 masks have been out of stock since the outbreak in March. The federal health authorities even called on people not to use N95, so that medical staff working on the front line could use it. Because the world is out of stock, so countries are scrambling to buy. The state bought one billion N95 masks from chinese electric-car companies at one point in BYD, but in june it failed federal inspections. So California is eager to contract with Adoque and other companies that have no experience producing N95 masks. The N95 of BYD production finally passed the inspection, so continue to provide masks to California.

Adoque's chief of operations (CBO), Paul Shrater, said the company would not recall the sale for the time being N95. they were applying to the federal government for a license, which could take two weeks. As for the state's $90 million contract, she did not disclose how much the state has paid.
