Australia has approved a "ban" on foreign donations, and foreign governments and state-owned enterprises will be banned from donating more than A $100 to any "political actor", including political parties, individual candidates and key political advocates.

The ban, which was approved by the Senate two weeks ago and passed by the House of Representatives yesterday, was prioritized by the government, the Australian news agency reported.

Special Secretary of State Hawk (Alex Hawke) said the regulations would help prevent foreign interference in politics, while also promoting transparency for voters through a public registration system for third-party advocates.

Third-party advocates, such as charities, will not be banned from accepting foreign donations, but will not be able to use foreign funds for political purposes, but can be used to promote issues unrelated to political parties.

In the fiscal year of the last federal election, third-party groups spent about A $40 million on campaign campaigns, Hawk said. He said in the House of Representatives: "it is clear that the election is no longer a contest between political parties and candidates." If participants choose to spend huge amounts of political spending, they have to obey the principle of transparency, which is reasonable. "

Hawk said the registration system will give voters an idea of who is trying to change their voting intentions.
