After emigrating to Australia, many immigrants worry about their parents at home day and night.
Progress on the plan has been upsetting after Mr Tan announced the introduction of a temporary parent visa, (new temporary visa for parents of migrants), in May.
However, the plan could run the risk of "aborting" because of the Senate`s delay in passing it.
Around this plan, there are a lot of rumors:
According to details previously revealed by the assistant immigration minister, the new push is expensive, with a $10, 000 five-year visa and a 3-year A $5000 plus a maximum of 10 years of stay, a myth that has also been verified online by Govermentors.
Second, with the visa being promoted, the current parental immigration policy will be cancelled, a claim that has not yet been proven.
In addition, according to the details of the visa currently published, the requirements for visa applications are not as strict as:
- Officially started in November 2017
- Only overseas submissions are accepted
- Huge visa fee
- All private medical insurance costs during the visa period are borne by the applicant (child) himself
- Visa holders cannot work
- Your child, (PR), will vouch for you.
As a result, the visa has attracted as much attention as previous naturalization policy reforms, starting with the release of details.
According to the plan, the parent visa was linked to the amendment bill the Migration Amendment (Family Violence and Other Measures) Bill 2016, which was widely believed by Australian media to be passed at the winter meeting and introduced in November 2017.

For example, because the bill involves information such as domestic violence, Labour Senator Kim Carr said it was difficult to "effectively" censor "all" visa guarantors in the hope that goverment would work with Labour to solve the problems of women living after domestic violence.
In a nutshell, the bill on parental temporary visas is under the same amendment bill as the controversial policy of "unfortunate" and domestic violence visas, and may be put on hold for a long time by opposition parties questioning domestic violence visas. Even "miscarriage"!
It is unclear, however, how parental immigration will be affected before all is finalised.
