Adelaide small business will launch the 'hire first person' program!

As new data on economic recovery suggest, South Australia will implement a new pilot program aimed primarily at helping small businesses hire their first people.

The move was put forward at today`s national conference.

Data show that South Australia`s growth rate is only slightly higher than the national average, is now the lowest level in nearly six years.

Seasonally adjusted data showed the unemployment rate was 5.6% in March. The last days of the former Labour government in office that month and the election of Prime Minister Steven Marshall.

February, the Labour Party`s last month in power, recorded South Australia as the highest unemployment rate in the country.

Industry and Technology Secretary David Pisoni will promote further potential jobs at tomorrow`s interstate peer meeting.

The federal government is looking for pilot countries for a new plan. The hire your first person program promotes or helps small businesses create jobs.

This is the first step in making South Australia "the state with the most friendly businesses," Mr. Pisoni said.

"with small businesses with backgrounds and apprentices in employment, I understand that one of the hardest decisions is to hire the first person," Mr. Pisoni said.

"I`m worried about hiring the first employee, but once I do, I won`t regret it. Once this obstacle has been overcome, it will be much easier to recruit new employees. "

According to the ABS trend, there are 838100 people working in South Australia, and the number will increase over the next three years. State governments say emergency service tax cuts and payroll tax waivers will further boost economic growth and employment over the next few years.
