The annual salary of Australia`s top private school principals has come to light, with some earning more than the governor.

Parents paid tens of millions of Australian dollars in tuition for their children, according to a financial report from eight of the state`s top private schools, submitted to the state parliament on Monday.
Peter Hauser, the president of Toowoomba Grammar School, ranks No. 1 in Queensland with an annual salary of $ five hundred and thirty seven thousand in 2018, an increase of $33,999 over the previous year.
But Hauser`s income dwarfs that of other state principals.

Debra Kelliher, the former president of Kambala Girls High School, earned $650000 a year before he resigned in 2017, according to Radio Australia.
Schools in Sydney`s Rose Bay charge $35000 a year.
Anthony Micallef, the principal of Brisbane Grammar School, made a drop in annual salaries from 2017, but still stood at $513000.

Jacinda Euler2018, the principal of Brisbane Girls Grammar School, earns $ five hundred and ten thousand a year.
However, Annastacia Palaszczuk, the governor of Queensland, earns just $399000 a year. Moreover, Australian Prime Minister Morrison`s annual salary is only $ five hundred and thirty seven thousand nine hundred and ninety nine.
The maximum annual salary of the principal of a public school is $ one hundred and seventy one thousand.
