According to today`s The Australian report, you can see that the title of Australia`s naturalization reform is "close to the deadline."

According to today`s The Australian report, you can see that the title of Australia`s naturalization reform is "close to the deadline."

It turns out that yesterday, parliament gave immigration director Peter Dutton a 36-hour "ultimatum," that is, on Wednesday, before midnight today, the case was not discussed again, and that would automatically be abolished.

In other words, this matter has not yet come to a conclusion!

What`s going on now, we still need to keep an eye on it.

However, it is certain that the naturalization policy is not optimistic.

Labour leader Bill Shorten said: "the new naturalization bill is ridiculous and very unfair to immigrants."

The tough English tests, which require immigrants who want to become naturalized to pass the equivalent of college-level English, were highly favoured by the goverment in its initial selection of "elitist" citizens. But it has excluded middle-class immigrants, who have been involved in building Australia for decades, which are vital to Australia`s development.

Goverment this kind of "crossing the river to break down the bridge", obviously can cause the public indignation. He suggested that goverment could reconsider.

Senator Nick McKing (Nick McKim) of the Green Party told reporters in Canberra:

"it seems that Peter Dutton is throwing a white flag in Australia`s naturalization policy, which is a good day for Australian multiculturalism."

Yesterday, South Australian statesman Nick Xenophon made it clear that the NXT party, (Nick Xenophon Team), would not support Mr Tan`s naturalization reform proposals.

Our position hasn’t changed....We can’t support it in its current form....The bill needs to be redrawn...—— Nick Xenophone

As you can see, despite objections, the chances of a new naturalization bill coming into effect are slim, but this does not mean that the existing bill will not be changed, but rather calls for "further changes", whether the next amendment will be better or worse, or whether the next one will be better or worse.

Just a few minutes before the deadline, the latest report said that if the goverment could not pull back NXT support by the end of today, the new naturalization bill would fail in bankruptcy.

If the motion is passed, naturalization to Australia will require:

  • Stay in Australia for at least 4 years after obtaining PR before applying for naturalization.
  • English proficiency test must reach IELTS score of 4 6 or the same.
  • Naturalization examination can only take 3 times, more than 3 times, but it has to wait 2 years to re-test.
  • In line with Australian values: democracy, freedom, equality.
  • Provide evidence of full integration into Australian society, such as employment and tax certificates.
  • Changes in the (Permanent Residents) Policy for permanent residence in Australia:

Some people may think, if naturalization is so difficult, then I can only take the Australian permanent resident (Permanent Residents) not apply for naturalization, not bad anyway.

Then you want to think too much. Liberal Democratic Congressman David Leyonhjelm once proposed to abolish the current PR benefits. For example: cancel pension, medical benefits, unemployment benefits, child benefits, single parent benefits and other social benefits.

Without naturalization, PR may be just a simple customs permit, with no benefits other than unlimited access to Australia and work there.

In addition, according to the latest report by SBS Broadcasting Corporation, future immigrants to Australia may need a transitional period of signing (provisional visa) before applying for a permanent right of abode (PR), that is, to live in Australia for 2 to 4 years. And holding the transitional signature period can not enjoy the benefits!

Long road, the eye is a few years, and so on, not to give welfare, but also to tighten the policy! Editor said, in Australia, and live and cherish ah!
