Prime Minister Peter Darden (Peter Dutton), the prime minister`s challenger, called for a second party vote, which Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull (Malcolm Turnbull) rejected.

Prime Minister Peter Darden (Peter Dutton), the prime minister`s challenger, called for a second party vote, which Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull (Malcolm Turnbull) rejected.

Darden's request for a second party vote was rejected by Tan Bao.

Mr Darden wrote on Twitter this morning (Aug. 23) that he had spoken to Mr Turnbull and told Mr Turnbull that he believed "most people in the party no longer support his leadership."

"I asked him to convene a party meeting where I would challenge the position of the leader of the Liberal Party," Mr. Darden said in a tweet.

Supporters of Turnbull dismissed a petition circulating among lawmakers calling for a new round of leadership votes.

Last night, the Liberal Party began a new round of pressure on the prime minister`s leadership.

Supporters of former Home Secretary Dutton told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation they are on the verge of getting the 43 votes they need to beat Turnbull.

"We have already had a vote, which was already held on Tuesday, and I doubt there will be another round of voting over time," said Stewart Robert (Stuart Robert), a back-row member of the Queensland Liberal National Party.

But back-row congressman Jane Prentis (Jane Prentice) said only nine people had signed the petition as of last night.

"I didn`t sign it, and I didn`t see the petition," she said.

Only one Liberal party member publicly claimed to have signed the letter, the new Senator Jim Moran (Jim Molan).

When ABC asked how many more people signed on it, the conservative replied that it was "private."

But another member of the Darden camp said, "support has changed a lot since Tuesday."

"this will become very clear. The prime minister did not win support from the party, "the source said.

Some of Mr Turnbull`s supporters see the petition as a smokescreen intended to give Mr Darden a good momentum.

"there are rumors," said Trent Zimmerman (Trent Zimmerman), a new state federal lawmaker, who likened the rumors to false media propaganda in Russia.
