A company owned by Adelaide Chinese businessman Sally Zou has a dispute with a cherry grower and faces a winding-up today, according to the Advertising.
Torrens Valley Orchards, a creditor in the case, will attend a liquidation hearing for Sally Zou`s company, Aus Food Alliance, today.
, Torrens Valley Orchards is known to be a cherry company based in Ganmocha (Gumeracha), dating back to 1840: four years after the (Hannaford) family settled in South Australia, it founded a small farm in Amway (Unley) that year. The company moved to Gammocha and started its cherry business.
Company documents show that, Sally Zou owns a number of companies, including food imports and resources, and that she has been in South Australia for a long time now in New York. She was said to have donated large sums to the South Australia Liberal Party and the Federal Liberal Party.
, Sally Zou was said to be the most generous political donor to the South Australian Liberal Party in 2016-17, contributing A $316064 through her Ausgold Mining Group, but less than the A $360000 donated the previous year.
Sally Zou, who is accused of being a high-profile Liberal supporter, last year set up a group called the Bixiao Glory Fund (Julie Bishop Glorious Foundation).
