Facebook group Newtown 2042 posted two photos of racist graffiti from the University of Sydney campus and nearby areas, the social networking site Facebook 2042 reported. Graffiti includes "Asian invasion", "stop Asian invasion" and so on, accompanied by racially discriminatory portrait paintings.

Many netizens expressed anger, Sydney University students, faculty and local residents expressed concern. "I really think we`ve got rid of this ignorance and racialism," one netizen said in a message.

It is reported that graffiti appeared on the University of Sydney campus, near the university in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the (Royal Prince Alfred Hospital) women`s toilet. There are also spelling errors in graffiti.

A spokesman for the University of Sydney said the school considered discrimination against graffiti to be an isolated incident and would take steps if racial discrimination was found on campus.

The spokesman also pointed out that the university campus is open to the public, so the personnel involved are not necessarily in-house personnel.
