In the face of the growing crisis in North Korea`s nuclear test, Prime Minister Tembo (Malcolm Turnbull) said he hopes to meet with U.S. President Trump (Donald Trump) as soon as possible. SBS Broadcasting and the Australian newspaper reported that the two sides were scheduled to discuss the topic by telephone at 07:45 EDT tomorrow. It was supposed to be the first time the two men had spoken since the text was leaked in January.

Mr. Tan spoke to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday after North Korea`s sixth nuclear test successfully fired a hydrogen bomb, and both sides agreed on the need to meet U.S. President Donald Trump "as soon as possible".

Mr. Tan and the cabinet`s National Security Council, (national security committee of cabinet), were briefed by the intelligence and defense chief on Monday. Mr. Tan condemned the nuclear test as "the most dangerous moment" for the Korean peninsula since the end of the Korean War and "another reckless and dangerous step by the North Korean government."

Foreign Minister Bi Xiao (Julie Bishop) warned North Korea that it had to pay for what it did: "We are dealing with a ruthless leader. We do not care about international law, nor do we care about peace and security in our region. " She called for "unprecedented pressure" on North Korea, including imposing sanctions on North Korea`s foreign trade banks, cutting remittances and banning exports of coal, iron ore and seafood.

Defense Minister Penn also met with Japanese Defense Minister (Itsunori Onodera) Ono on Monday and will travel to Seoul, South Korea, for high-level security talks tomorrow, along with (Rick Burr)., deputy commander-in-chief of the Australian Army. North Korea is likely to test another intercontinental missile in the near future, according to South Korea`s Defense Ministry.

Defense Secretary Matisse (James Mattis) warned that the military would take "large-scale military action" in the event of any North Korean threat to the United States and its allies.

There is no doubt that after a series of North Korean provocations, Trump is open to all options, including military action, and Australia is ready to take part in any U.S.-led military action.

U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly threatened that any country with North Korea could face severing economic ties with the United States, leading experts to worry that North Korea`s nuclear test could accelerate the outbreak of a Sino-US trade war. Bi Xiao hopes to avoid this as far as possible, "China and the United States are obviously Australia`s main partners."

Trade experts say the U. S. threat is likely to benefit Australia in the short term. "the North Korean crisis is accelerating the escalation of the Sino-US trade war," said (Monash University) Dito (Giovanni Di Lieto) of Monash University. By then, all trade between the United States and China, the United States and South Korea will disappear, and Australia is filling this gap. "
