Eddie Woo, a Chinese-American math teacher in Sydney who became a celebrity on the video site, was last month named a local Australian hero in 2018 and is now named the top 10 teacher in the world.

, Eddie Woo was nominated as the top 10 teacher in the world on Wednesday, the Australian Union reported. And (Global Teacher Prize). Eddie Woo, which has a chance to win US $1 million (A $1.4 million), will travel to Dubai with other finalists in March, announcing the final winners and awarding huge bonuses on March 18.

Eddie Woo is the head of a math teacher at Cherry Creek Technology High School (Cherrybrook Technology High), Sydney. He said he was excited to be among the top 10 in the world. It is reported that more than 30, 000 teachers from 173 countries around the world have been nominated for, Eddie Woo as the only Australian teacher this year, with other finalists coming from Turkey, Brazil, the Philippines and Belgium.

Eddie Woo, who uploaded videos of his lectures to the pipeline and started WooTube a few years ago in an effort to prevent students from attending school, has now been watched by more than 11 million people around the world.
