According to Australian media reports, although the new same-sex marriage bill has been introduced into the Australian Federal Senate for discussion, the marriage reform is subject to scrutiny and scrutiny by politicians, officials and the Governor. Australia's same-sexcouples may have to wait at least two months to get married. At the same time, some ministers of Australia's government also began to consider religious protection measures after same-sex marriage was legalized.

It may take two months for the same-sex wedding to take place.

Marriage registries across Australia are reportedly ready for marriage law reform after the YES vote won the same-sex "mailing" referendum. To ensure that the new Marriage Act will be able to cope with the large number of same-sexcouples marriage registrations, these agencies are actively working with the Federal Attorney General's Department. However, the analysis said same-sexcouples will not be able to hold a wedding until at least January 2018.

First, the bipartisan bill proposed by Senator Smith (Dean Smith) of the Liberal Party must be approved both in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Attorney General Brandys (George Brandis) said the process would only be completed by December 7, "without any sooner."

Most Australian government members, including Prime Minister Turnbull, are hoping to legalize same-sex marriage by Christmas, thereby freeing Unionparty from the issue of equality in marriage from 2018.

It is reported that if parliament does not add an additional week of working time, so long is less than 10 working days. Assuming the new bill is approved by both houses of Congress before December 7, it will also seek approval from Governor Cosgroff, but the process is expected to be completed soon.

At present, parliament has not confirmed the bill's entry into force, but Australian Attorney General Brandys stressed that the process will not be delayed.

Conservative ministers support protection of religion

Meanwhile, top conservative cabinet member, Immigration Minister Dutton, has joined the debate on the same-sex marriage bill. A new "religious protection" bill could be introduced in 2018, according to Dutton. Treasury Secretary Morrison also said he would support the new religious Protection Act.

Morrison said: "at the moment, we should address the issue of same-sex marriage, but in any case, the support for religious protection will not change, I will do so."

Turnbull and Morrison, two of the top conservatives in Turnbull goverment, were supporters of same-sex marriage's "NO camp", but admitted that opposition to same-sex marriage was disappearing.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Abbott, who opposes same-sex marriage, will vote in parliament as a matter of concern. Her gay sister, Foster (Christine Foster), recently revealed that Abbott had told her he would abstain from voting and that she hoped Abbott would keep her promise.

Tourism in Australia will benefit

In addition, tour operators applaud the good news as the vast majority of Australians rejoice over the results of the equality vote.

Australia's reputation as an inclusive and welcoming destination for all international tourists has been reinforced by the "YES vote" win on same-sex marriage, said (John O'Sullivan), general manager of the Australian Tourism Authority. He said Australia has always been a friendly, warm, welcoming country that doesn't care about race, colour, religion or sexual orientation.

According to the report, the legalization of same-sex marriage could lead to nearly 50, 000 couples of Australian same-sexcouples getting married. Coupled with the prospect of tourists and overseas settlers going to Australia to marry, Australian industries are looking forward to generating income.
