However, Tan Po mentioned that at the time of the incident, many Australians in the region felt the shock, including the Secretary of the Interior, Dutton (Peter Dutton). Dutton then tweeted that he and other members of the Australian delegation visiting Longmu were safe.

It is understood that du Dun and his party visited Longmu Island in order to participate in the counter-terrorism conference. At the time of the earthquake, Duden was on the 12th floor of a hotel on the island. "the earthquake was strong enough to knock us to the ground." "We went up to the 12th floor and the lights went out," he told Fafus Media.

Dutton praised the local emergency workers for taking them to safety when they moved quickly.

"at this stage, we have not received reports of injuries to Australians, but we understand that the impact of the earthquake has affected many parts of Indonesia, including Bali, where thousands of Australians are located." Tan Bao added.

It is reported that when the strong earthquake hit Longmu Island, Australian houses collapsed on the island.

Evan Burns, from Australia, runs a holiday hotel in the Senggigi area of the north-west of the island, and he has experienced major and several aftershocks with his Asian wife and the toddler`s son, and the structure of the house is badly damaged and the two floors are collapsed. The driver`s windshield was broken by the falling pieces.

Burns, who thought he would die in the earthquake with his wife and children, sent a number of "goodbye" messages to relatives.

Then, fearing that the quake could trigger a deadly tsunami, the family fled three kilometers to take refuge in the mountains, and the family is now safe.

Sonja (Agus Hendra Sanjaya), a spokesman for (Mataram Search and Rescue), a search and rescue department in Mataland, said earlier that some foreigners were among those sent to the hospital. "We believe that many people are still buried under the rubble. So far, 61 people have been evacuated to hospitals, including 12 foreigners and 49 Indonesians. "

Earlier today, Australian Foreign Minister Bisho (Julie Bishop) said Australia had sent personnel to Longmu Island to rescue Australians in disaster.

More than 40 Chinese tourists trapped

The quake also caused power outages in parts of the Indonesian island of Longmu and in (Gili Trawangan), the northwestern island of Gilitrawang, according to the website of the Chinese Consulate General in Denbasa, citing the website of the Chinese Consulate General on Aug. 6. More than 1,000 local residents and tourists, including more than 40 Chinese tourists, are known to be stranded on the island of Gillitrawang and its neighbouring island of (Gili Air), Geely Mino, (Gili Meno), a tourist resort in Indonesia. The Chinese Consulate General in Denbasa has contacted most of the trapped Chinese tourists.
