Three police officers were injured south of Perth after a man set off a high-speed chase after threatening a woman with an Indian Tomahawk (tomahawk) in a shopping mall.
At 8: 30 this morning, police tried to intercept a stolen car on the corner of Winterfold and Stock roads in Hamilton Hill.
When the police started chasing, a man ran away, and there were two in the car.
Police used a barricade-a metal nail-on the Hamilton road in Spearwood to stab the car's tires.
But the driver drove a car with unraised tires near Phoenix Park Shopping Center and abandoned the car to run away.
Police say passengers fled into the mall and the driver attacked a nearby woman's car with an Indian tomahawk.
He was suspected of throwing the murder weapon in the car and pulling out the 46-year-old woman. She was unhurt.
Police officers tried to use a Taser gun on the man, but he climbed into the woman's car and missed the gun. He backed up to three police officers.
A male policeman bruised his lower leg, another cut his arm and legs, dislocated his shoulder, and a female officer cut her arms and legs with a suspected concussion.
The police later intercepted the car on Stock Road.
The 23-year-old driver was taken to custody in Hilton,.
A 33-year-old passenger, Spearwood, was arrested in a shopping mall.
Three police cars were damaged in the chase.
