Huawei said it plans to build a research and development center in the UK at a cost of £1 billion (about HK $9.619 billion), which will create about 400 jobs and focus on the production of optical components for optical fiber communication systems.
As the sunday london times reported earlier, the center will be located near cambridge, about 15 minutes from semiconductor ARM Holdings.
