The Yangtze River valley is full of heavy rain. Chinese officials said in the afternoon, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake, Poyang Lake water intake significantly increased, resulting in the coastal water level has continued to rise. In the next few days, the Yangtze River between Jianli, Hubei Province, and Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, exceed the warning level.

According to central report today, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River heavy rain ,1200 kilometers of water level will exceed the warning line. Chinese officials predict that the Yangtze River, from Jianli in Hubei to Jiangyin in Jiangsu Province, will exceed the warning level in the coming days.

Jianli County of Hubei Province is located on the opposite side of Dongting Lake, which is the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province is between Nanjing and Shanghai, is the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, between the Yangtze River reach, about 1200 kilometers long. The report quoted xinhua news agency, the chinese hydrological unit predicted that the main stream of the middle and lower reaches of the yangtze river from hubei to jiangyin section of jiangsu, the next few days will fully exceed the warning level, the highest water level will exceed the warning line about 0.5 to 1 meter.

The water level at the Lianhuatang Monitoring Station in Yueyang City, Hunan Province, where Dongting Lake was injected into the Yangtze River Estuary, officially reached a warning line of 32.5 meters at 5 am today. By 8 a.m., the water level had risen further to 32.55 metres above the warning line. At 8 a.m., the Chenglingji Observatory, not far from the Lotus Pond Observatory, had a water level of 32.65 metres ,0.15 metres above the warning line. As for the lower Hankou, Hukou, Datong and other observation stations, the water level is still below the warning line, but the gap is less than 1 meter.

The Hydrographic Bureau of the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Commission continued to issue a yellow flood warning from Jianli to Jiangyin section at 10 a.m. this morning, reminding relevant units and people along the main stream of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to take precautions along the Dongting Lake and Poyang Lake. The China central Meteorological Administration raised the rainstorm warning level to yellow at 10 a.m. this morning in response to heavy rain, and raised the response level from level 4 emergency response (general natural disaster) to level 3(larger natural disaster) for major meteorological disasters.

According to the report, China's early warning lights are divided into four levels, from low to high in order of blue, yellow, orange, red; disaster response measures (emergency response) level is the same as level 4.
