When I draw a sun, I want people to feel it spinning at an astonishing speed and making a terrible wave of light and heat.

When I draw a sun, I want people to feel it spinning at an astonishing speed and making a terrible wave of light and heat.

When I draw a field of wheat, I want people to feel that wheat is working towards their final maturity and blooming.

When I draw an apple tree, I hope people can feel that the fruit juice in the apple is spreading the apple peel, and the seeds in the kernel are pushing forward to produce the fruit. When I draw a man, I will draw his life.

If there is no more infinite, profound, real things in my life, I will no longer be attached to the world.

-< Dear Theo > Vincent van Gogh

On Friday, April 28 (Friday), (NGV International), the overseas Museum of the National Gallery of Victoria, will host an exclusive exhibition of individual works by the Dutch post-impressionist painter (Vincent Willem van Gogh,1853-1890, which will be the world`s first solo exhibition of Van Gogh`s works. Global exclusive, only once, missed regret for a lifetime oh!

The Van Gogh exhibition was the highlight of Melbourne`s Winter Art Fair, focusing on the theme "Van Gogh and the four Seasons". The immortal master`s 40 paintings and 25 sketches will be presented to the audience in a unique way. Along with his letters and personal collection, he hopes to depict a three-dimensional, comprehensive art maniac.

Many of these works are Australia`s debut and have never been on display in Australia. They come from well-known overseas museums, including the (Van Gogh Museum), Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Kroller-M ü ller Museum) Museum in Outlaw, the Netherlands, and the (London`s National Gallery). National Gallery in London.

The curator was Sjraar van Heugten., an art historian and van Gogh expert. He has been preparing for the 15-year exhibition of Van Gogh`s paintings in Melbourne and has experienced numerous twists and turns that have been rejected by many galleries that house Van Gogh`s paintings. But he finally did not live up to public expectations, let this art event to Melbourne, for the benefit of everyone!

Next, Xiao Wei wants to talk to everyone about the highlights of this Van Gao exhibition, and give friends who want to see the exhibition a little homework ahead of time.

The Reading of Van Gogh

Van Gogh`s name is itself in Dutch, pronounced in English as / æ n /, or / æ n _ f / (E), or / gh (USA), which is silent in / æ n _. But he doesn`t like it when people call him Van Gogh, but on his own smug work, often signed as Vincent.. When you go to the exhibition, don`t forget to take a look at the signature of each side corner of each painting, which is written by Vincent. It`s about Van Gogh`s proud work. Let`s take a look at it.

Yearning for Tao Yuanming`s pastoral life of "picking wild flowers by the fence"

Van Gogh did not like modern civilization very much, but preferred to immerse himself in simple rural life. The theme of the exhibition, the four Seasons, truly shows Van Gogh`s view of pastoral life and attitudes to the world. The natural cycle of time, the alternation of life and death, Van Gogh with his bold colors and rough lines, the integration of life, nature and time, is his performance and display of natural beauty, understanding and thinking.

Speaking about the theme of the exhibition, NGV curator Ted Gott said: "Van Gogh is a devout Christian who sees the four seasons as the hand of God on earth. He is addicted to the emotions and colors represented by the four seasons, and often likens spring, summer, autumn and winter to the cycle of life, representing the birth-bloom-maturity-death of life. "

Spring is full: 1888 orchards blooming next to cedar trees

Orchard in Blossom, Bordered by Cypresses 1888.4

Van Gogh found that people today prefer the bright, yet comfortable works in front of them. In this respect, the Impressionists have done a good job. Van Gogh, who used to be a brilliant dealer, knew it was too late to spell Impressionism at the age of 30, and became a good follower at best. As a result, he developed a bold style of painting that no one had ever played to make his work more bright, outplayed and bright than Impressionism.

Van Gogh moved to (Arles). In southern France in 1888 Here his spirit began to be abnormal, but his work was brighter and more colorful.

Van Gogh`s most productive work was in the Alle period, where he had spring days, white eyes, powdered flowers, canvases, pine branches and spikes of wheat dancing in the wind, like the genie of the wind. It is hard to imagine how precise and delicate a man is to these pink, violet colors.

He loved nature and could see pure beauty from simple things. His paintings often had bright colors and were never reserved.

Hot summer: cedar 1889 in the wheat field

A Wheatfield, with Cypresses 1889

The cedar tree in the A Wheatfield, with Cypresses (wheat field is the star of the Van Gogh exhibition. The curator of NGV described the painting as "one of the most famous paintings in the world." He even dropped his chin when he got the answer to lend the work to the Melbourne exhibition.

Van Gogh once wrote: "there`s always a cypress in my head, and I`d like to paint it like a sunflower." But it was strange why no one drew as much as I had seen. The lines and proportions of cypress trees are indeed beautiful, like Egyptian maids. Cypress is one of Van Gogh`s favorite themes. In his eyes, the cypress is "naturally expressive." He saw the painting as one of the most brilliant of his summer paintings.

At the same time, the painting is also the American folk singer Don McLean in 1970 in honor of Van Gogh`s song "Vincent" singing "Swirling clouds in violet haze" alluding to the work.

A true artistic genius knows how to apply the simplest principles and, with the simplest principles, creates extremely complex content.

Van Gogh is such a genius, his paintings have outstanding dynamic changes, there is a lot of emotion.

He has a highly identifiable personal style. At that time, there was a dense phobias painter who liked to paint with dots.

George Shura (

Georges Seurat)。

(Georges Seurat,A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,1884–1886)

Van Gogh, on the other hand, took a road that no one else had traveled, and chose to paint with a flowing sense of "line" and "circle", so that they could recognize their paintings at a glance.

Just like the cedar tree in the wheat field, just green is light green, dark gray green, brown gray green, black green, cedar trees like black flames curling, springs, erupting toward the sky. The progressive and entanglement of these colors, as well as the extension and undulation of the texture, represent van Gogh`s artistic style well.

Pleasant autumn: green vineyards 1888

Green Vineyard, 1888

The wine growers in the vineyards were idle in the shade, the leisurely women enjoyed the pleasant climate of the early autumn, and the heavy vines heralded the joy of a bumper harvest. In van Gogh`s letter to his brother, he wrote with joy, "look at these vines. One kilogram of vines. It must be a good harvest this year!"

The autumn under Van Gogh`s brushes is gorgeous and strong, just as the blue sky in the painting is full of life and strength, and "with a heart of gold" he always has feelings that he can`t help but want to blend into his brushwork. In his colors, he does not record colors subjectively, but subjectively adds a lot of emotional expressions. Van Gogh has always let intense emotions guide his creation, fluttering lines and restless colors, stroke by stroke, almost impatient to pour out. Even after more than a hundred years, we can still feel his undead madness.

Cold wind: 1885 gardens in pastor Nunan`s house in the snow

The Parsonage Garden at

Nuenen in the Snow 1885

At the end of 1883, van Gogh returned to Nunan, where his father worked. Here he struggled to practice sketch techniques, his works of this period, deeply influenced by realism, the picture is deep, and has a strong local flavor, with his thick rural peasant plot. The snow-snowed country yard, the sparse trees, the bleak fields, you can feel the calm beauty and dignity in the picture.

But Van Gogh did not fully experience the four Seasons of his life, and before he saw the glory of his work, he had entered Winter.

On July 29, 1890, when van Gogh was 37 years old, he walked into the wheat field on the banks of the French River Watts, raised his pistol, pulled the trigger on his abdomen, and ended his short and depressed life. It was only ten years after Van Gogh`s death that his work became known to the world.

Van Gogh`s descendants, Sylvia Cramer and Josien Van Gogh, were also invited to the opening ceremony, a landmark event.

The charm of art cannot be felt through print or reproduction. I`ve seen Van Gogh on the screen or on the album. That`s not really van Gogh. If you have any conditions, please go to the museum and see the original.

Only when you really stand in front of Van Gogh`s paintings can you see the thick strokes, subtle details, his burst of vitality, and his wild and romantic fantasies about artistic creation. People think he is crazy, in fact, is a collection of sophisticated skills, sensitive to the real world, and painting in a high degree of rationality and restraint of him.

In addition to being able to experience the rare artist`s life through an incredible collection of paintings, NGV`s Friday night will feature a series of live music performances, as well as food favorites! There will also be an advance event for NGV members during the opening week, and two sessions have been booked! Friends interested in Van Gogh`s post-screen stories can also attend a master class co-sponsored by Mozart and NGV, where van Gogh`s experts will explain the four seasons in his work.
