A 48-year-old Chinese man was jailed for 10 years for selling a large number of ecstasy (MDMA) before being held at the Villawood detention centre for nearly a year. The Interior Ministry has ordered the cancellation of his visa, and he will be repatriated to China on Friday, but now appears to have a change of opportunity.

The man, who could not be named for legal reasons, told the Australian Administrative Court that he wanted to stay in Australia and live with his mother, partner and two children, according to the Australian News on the 9th. The Chinese man, who came to Australia in 1989, has been addicted to drugs and gambling since his father died in 2000.

As a result of a terrible ship accident, his father was killed, he rushed to Hong Kong to identify the body. As a result, the man said, "my father`s face is split in half," he said. "it keeps popping up in my head." He couldn`t sleep all night and his mood was on the verge of collapse, when he was advised to take drugs, and he thought he wouldn`t be in it.

The man said he had detoxified since he was in prison and said he was the perfect example of the effectiveness of the prison rehabilitation system. He was allowed to go to Kingswood TAFE College without supervision, which helped his career prospects when he got out of prison.

For nine months in a row, he left the prison at 06:30 every morning, took a bus to Punchbowl, and then transferred to Kingswood. In court, the man expressed remorse for his past actions, saying he had hurt those closest to him. Especially my mother, she gave up everything in China and came to Australia to support me.

The man`s mother, who was naturalized to Australia, moved to Sydney as soon as she learned that her son was being held, living with her son`s partner, and had recently suffered a heart attack that made her health worse. The man`s partner said that in his absence, she worked hard to take care of "mother-in-law" and was eager to see her family reunited soon. "he was like the biological father of my two children, and they got along very well."

She also said that the prison had changed him, and that he would not continue to risk doing stupid things because he had lost too much. "We are all waiting for this day, especially his mother, and we are all very depressed about the repatriation." In addition, she worries that the Chinese authorities will reprosecute or even be sentenced to death for his crimes, "the political environment is different, the Chinese government takes drug crimes more seriously."

Having failed to pass the personality test provided for in section 501 of the Immigration Act 1958, the Ministry of the Interior has cancelled the man`s visa, but the Australian Administrative Court has overturned the decision, but in accordance with the provisions, Interior Minister Peter Dutton may dismiss any decision made by the arbitral tribunal.
