As a district councilman and now deputy mayor, I am an experienced taxpayer fund manager. I have an original view of the functions of the Capital Council and have been managing director of urban culture and community service for three years.
I love this city and believe it`s time to move Adelaide from one of the most livable cities to a magnet city that attracts talent, creativity and investment, and encourages our best and brightest people to stay here.
As mayor, I will lead the City Council to develop our economy, strengthen our communities, create a vibrant urban culture for people to live, work, visit and, above all, enjoy.
Over the past 20 years, I have played an active role in Adelaide`s leadership role-I am an efficient strategic and creative thinker with good cooperation experience.
I sincerely love our community and culture, but also have a business mind, and as mayor, I will continue to work for the prosperity, progress and sustainable development of our city.

Adelaide`s government consists of 12 councillors, including the mayor and 11 councillors.
Mayors and councillors are elected by voters in Adelaide for a four-year term and are accountable to the city as a whole.
Just now, the Chinese candidate, Mr. Hou Zhuopeng, who was introduced to you earlier, was elected to the Central constituency of (Central Ward), a Chinese-American face that has finally emerged for more than a decade.

The voting for other constituencies at this stage is as follows: 4 members will be elected from among the nine candidates in the: Area Councillor constituency
The North Ward constituency will elect two members from among the eight candidates
Two members will be elected from among the seven candidates in the South Ward constituency
