But it made headlines again, but for the wrong reasons.
The Sun says Perth has become one of the world`s most dangerous cities because of the crisis in deoxyephedrine.
The Western Australian capital, caught in a crisis of deoxy-ephedrine abuse, has gained the same reputation as war-torn cities such as Kiev in Ukraine and Raqqa in Syria.
The report says Western Australia is suffering a "flood of deoxyephedrine," describing it as the "dark side" of the city, which has caused hospitals and prisons to be filled with drug addicts who "commit crimes in order to obtain money for drug use."
Western Australian Police Commissioner Karl O`Callaghan and Perth Mayor Lisa Scaffidi rejected Perth`s naming of San Pedro Sola, a Honduras-like man whose murder rate reached a staggering 174 per one hundred thousand people.
