The train is out of service, and free BUS is coming! These places in Melbourne have been free of charge in recent weeks.

Melbourne will offer free BUS to passengers because of the shutdown of the train line.

The government announced that it would launch a new train "make way" for the year, because it would cost $1.1 billion to build a train tunnel.

At that time, more than 200 workers will be working around the clock, installing 100 cable signal posts.

The project will widen the railway and the new train tunnel will be connected to the existing tunnel.

So there will be 45 to 75 minutes of delay along the train line throughout January!

Service will be suspended along the Sandringham from, Flinders St to Elsternwick due to construction until 6 January, when passengers along the Gippsland train will be on the

The Belgrave/lilydale,Glen Waverley,Alamein,Sunbury,Werribee and the Williamstown will be under construction all night long.

Between January 12 and 27, construction will also begin along the Bendigo,Swan Hill and along the Echuca.

Since 2 January, some of Melbourne's train lines have been replaced by Bus, with more lines in the south-east:

Frankstone Line: between January 2 and 13, the train between, Flinders St and Moorabbin will be replaced by Bus.

Gippsland: the entire line will be replaced by Bus between January 2 and January 13.

Cranbourne/ Pakeham Line: the train between, Flinders St and Westall will be replaced by Bus between January 2 and January 13.

Bendigo,Swan Hill and Echuca trains: between January 12 and January 27, the train between Sunbury and Swan Hill was replaced by Bus.

Deputy Governor Tim Pallas said: the upgrading of the entire system will seriously disrupt the operation of the existing railway network.

He apologized for the delay, but promised that the government was still aggressively pushing ahead with the biggest ever upgrade of electricity, signals and communications.
