During the Chinese New year, Victoria welcomed a large number of Chinese tourists, so Victoria Ocean Road (Great Ocean Road) implemented deceleration measures this month. The speed limit has been reduced to 20 km / h in the vicinity of the Twelve Apostolic (Twelve Apostles) attraction.

According to the Herald Sun, traffic authorities have also erected Putonghua slogans on the road, warning overseas tourists not to drive backwards.

At the (Port Campbell) 12 Apostolic tourist Center in Port Campbell, the road speed limit has been temporarily reduced from 80 km / h to 20 km / h before slowly resuming.

Senior Sheriff Ascenho (Chris Asenjo) said speeding was a persistent problem on the coastal highway, warning drivers to comply with the speed limit or face heavy penalties or more serious consequences.

A large number of tourists get out of the car to take photos, which also aggravate the risk of road casualties. Ascension warns: "if you drive along a highway in a remote area, you are likely to be traumatized."

China's Spring Festival holiday ends on Feb. 19, with more than one hundred and twenty eight thousand tourists pouring into Victoria so far. The Victoria Highway Service (VicRoads) and the Victoria Park Service (Parks Victoria) have tightened security measures, including the installation of more than 100 "left-leaning" signs along Ocean Road.

The agency also installed a new multilingual electronic message sign at (Princetown Rd) on Springston Road to provide safety information for visitors returning from the 12 Apostolic attractions, the agency's chief regional highway officer, Noxi (Paul Northey), told reporters.

Michael Smith, the local chief of the state park, also said it has been arranged to say Mandarin-speaking guards are on the ground. He reminded the foreign visitors that extra time should be set aside and that the traffic conditions change at any time.

To ensure the safety of workers and drivers, the speed limit near the road construction site along Dayang Road has also been lowered. The commemorative arch (Memorial Arch) has a speed limit of 60 km / h, where visitors can park to take photos.
