Free New year fireworks into a wealth-seeking tool? The Great Wall of Sydney Opera House

Look at the fireworks and charge?!

Watching fireworks on New year's Eve should have been a joyous occasion for all, but as a result, some people actually charge fees this year! Not even Mayor Sydney!

During the New year, Sydney's Hickson Road Reserve area was fenced and tickets were sold.

The tickets are priced at A $55 and sold out with dozens of other private venues in Sydney Port. But until then, it was free!

Even if you charge, it's so expensive! The most important thing is that it's sold out soon?!

Even Mayor Clover Moore can't watch this kind of money-seeking behavior.

"I honestly think it is outrageous that they are making money from what is built up in harmony and unity among the people of our community!"

"people are starting to worry that a lot of public activities across the city will start charging. But I repeat. These should be free! "

"all these activities should be free of charge, whether they are for local people or tourists from other places, as well as overseas tourists."

"the money is from the New State of government or the Royal Botanical Garden Trust."

On the grass of (Sydney Opera House), Sydney Opera House, people have been camped in from 6 a.m. to see the fireworks at night.

Mick, a nearby resident who has watched the New year's fireworks for 25 years, has come with his teenage son this year, but it is the first time he has seen such a dark fence along the coast, blocking the Sydney Opera House directly.

"there may be a thousand people in this place, and I know the fence is very useful to prevent drunkards from falling into the sea, but there is no reason to stop others from seeing the view."

It was thought there was something inside, but after Mick dived into the fence, he found nothing empty in it.

Richard, across the street, has been camping here since 10:00 with relatives from China.

He used to go to Campbell Bay, near his home, to see fireworks, but this year he was astonishingly surprised to find tickets.

"Yes, I understand why they're doing this, but now that tickets are sold out, this place is one of the few free places we can find."

However, a spokesman for the new state property thinks the charge is very reasonable.

"We will not make money at this event, and the money for tickets will be spent on live music, entertainment and security costs."

The new state police chief, Troy Grand, also said the charge was mainly due to crowd management and ease security pressure.

"my personal view is that we all like things that are free, but caring for the community comes at a price, and nothing in life is free."

We can only sympathize with those who have not bought tickets for three seconds.
