Two overseas tourists killed in the crash of the (Whitsundays) helicopter in the Australian resort Holy Spirit Islands

On Wednesday, a helicopter crashed in (Whitsundays), Australia's popular tourist attraction, killing two overseas tourists. The pilot and two other overseas tourists on board were lucky to be rescued.

According to the Messenger Post, at 03:35 on Wednesday, A Airbus H120 helicopter owned by (Whitsunday Air Services), an airline of the Holy Spirit Islands, crashed into the sea when it landed on (Hardy Reef Heliport), a helicopter helipad on Hadi Reef northeast of (Hamilton Island), Hamilton Island. The crash site is just a few meters away from the heart-shaped Great Barrier Reef (Heart Pontoon), a popular attraction. Heroic witnesses struggled to rescue the pilot and four tourists from the sunken helicopter.

Since it took more than an hour for emergency rescue workers to arrive at the scene, emergency measures were carried out for two seriously injured tourists through telephone instructions from emergency rescue workers. However, despite their best efforts, the men and women were not able to save the lives of the man and the woman.

Later in the day, the injured pilot and two other tourists were taken to a medical facility.

Holy Spirit Islands Airways has issued a statement saying it is deeply saddened by the incident and expressing its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. The company will cooperate with the Kunzhou Police, the Australian Transport Safety Authority (ATSB) and the Australian Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) (CASA) investigation to suspend operations until a comprehensive review is completed.

Kunzhou police and Australian Transport Safety Bureau investigators have arrived at the scene, will interview witnesses, check all retained record data, check operating records and technical documents and so on.

Yesterday afternoon, there was another light aircraft accident in Kunzhou. A light aircraft crashed in the rural area of (Quilpie), Esiquir, (Charleville), Kun., injuring the lower limbs and internal organs of the male pilot on board.
