Historic Herbig Tree is located in southeastern Australia, and the small town of Springton (Springton), east of (Barossa Valley) in Barossa Valley, is about 70 kilometers from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia.
Historic Herbig Tree has a history of 300 to 500 years. It's a tall hollow red eucalyptus tree with a diameter of 7 meters at the bottom of the trunk and a height of 24 meters, and nearby streams flow through it.
Friedrich Herbig (Friedrich Herbig), 27, came to South Australia in 1855, his first home. In 1858, he married Carolyn (Caroline Rattey), 18, and lived in a tree house with her. They had 16 children, the eldest of whom were born in a tree house. In 1860, Herbig built a two-room pine hut nearby and built a new stone house next to the cabin as the number of family members increased.
Historic Herbig Tree has been inscribed on the list of historical heritages, vividly recreating early European settlement activities where the Herbigs usually meet under trees every five years.
