Introduction

One of Australia's great self-driving adventures, the Eyre Highway extends 1675 kilometers from (Port Augusta), in the northeast corner of (Eyre Peninsula), South Australia's El Peninsula, to Northman (Norseman), in Western Australia. Across the deserted plains of Narabel, (Nullarbor Plain), is beyond reach. On this wonderful journey, you will learn more about Australia's entrepreneurial journey and experience the true Australian hinterland.

Eyre Highway is the world's longest national highway: part of the 14500-kilometer-long Australian Highway 1 (Hightway 1) is known for having the world's longest straight road, and none of the 146km from Balladonia to Caiguna has turned. It was also called "90 Mile Straight)," and, incredibly, sometimes it was used by the famed Royal Flying Doctor (Royal Flying Doctor Service) as an emergency landing track.

Eyre Highway travels through many scenic spots, including the spectacular historical and natural attractions such as the spectacular Ban Da cliff (Bunda Cliffs), Telegraph station and bird observatory, where visitors can either drop in at the inn or motel on the way, or camp.
