Introduction

Alice Springs Desert Park is located in the western suburb of Alice Springs, a small inland town in the central part of the Northern Territory, about 5 kilometers by car from the city of Alice Springs. It covers an area of about 1300 hectares and a core area of about 52 hectares.

Alice Springs Desert Park will give visitors a new idea of the desert in central Australia, which is no longer a desolate desert, but a rich, diverse, vibrant habitat. Award-winning Park, one of the world's top natural parks, is a must-visit to the Red Land interior of the Northern Territory.

Alice Springs Desert Park shows and interprets the flora and fauna of Alice Springs and the surrounding landscape, as well as learning how the indigenous people manage the desert. Along the walkway, it is easy to see the unique flora and fauna of the three reconstituted desert habitats. Take a nap at the Nature Theater (Nature Theatre) and watch the trainer train owls, wedge-tailed sculptures, and birds of prey.

You can also book a night tour, (Nocturnal Tour), along the park's Acacia Trail, (Mulga Walk), to explore the region's most distinctive animals and search for rare and endangered animals, most of which are barely visible in the wild.
