(Lifou Island (Lifou Island,) is an island of French New Caledonia (New Caledonia, (French: Nouvelle- Al é donie), located on the eastern side of (Grande Terre), the main island of New Caledonia, covering an area of about 1200 square kilometres and a permanent population of about 10000 people.
