Introduction

South Australian Maritime Museum is located in (Port Adelaide), Port Adelaide, on the northern outskirts of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, about 14 kilometers from the city of Adelaide.

South Australian Maritime Museum, Australia's oldest nautical museum, has a human history of oceans and rivers since 1872. There are ancient ships on display, the most famous being the Nelcebee, the third-oldest ship registered by the Roller Classification Society. There are also many exquisite models, in-board facilities, crew clothing and gifts they bring back from various countries. The famous Bond (Bond Stores), built in 1850, is located on Lipson Street, (Lipson Street), the museum's main venue.
