Introduction

Cathedral Fig Tree is located in (Danbulla State Forest), the Danbura State Forest on the Atherton Plateau in northeast Queensland, about 18 kilometers southwest from Yungaburra, the town where the famous curtain tree (Curtain Fig Tree) is located. Northeast to Queensland famous tourist city Cairns about 60 kilometers by car.

Like the curtain tree, Cathedral Fig Tree is a national treasure tree that has grown for more than 500 years, because it is located in rural areas and is not as famous among tourists as a curtain tree. The Cathedral Fig Tree Atherton plateau is known for its best place to listen to early-morning birds. Visitors can watch around their base and giant, plate-shaped roots on the easy-to-walk trestle path.
