Introduction

The Pildappa Rock is located in southern South Australia to the north of (Eyre Peninsula) Peninsula, about 620km by car from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, and about 265km from (Port Lincoln), the largest town on the Elle Peninsula.

Perdapa is a spectacular attraction, the tallest and longest wavy rock in the El Peninsula, comparable to Western Australia's famous (Wave Rock). The highest wavy rock is near the barbecue area, one on the north side of the rock and one on the south side of the rock. The southeast end of the rock is a long wave with a platform. At Pardapa you can enjoy the surrounding countryside with panoramic views of Gaulle range (Gawler Ranges) and Lamstert (Blue Sturts) from the north. Perdapa is also known for its deep corrosion holes, which guarantee a permanent source of water and, like many of Australia's surface granite, a complex grooving system around the bottom of the rock.
