Introduction

Lake Leschenaultia is located in the (Chidlow) jungle, about 40 kilometers east of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It covers an area of about 18 hectares and is a huge artificial lake scenic spot.

Lake Leschenaultia was built in 1897 as a key infrastructure for the Western Australian Railway.

After 1949, Lake Leschenaultia began to be used as a local water sport, now Lake Leschenaultia offers a variety of water and land activities, with first-class picnics and barbecue facilities, and a cafe by the lake. Visitors can rent a kayak to experience wonderful waters, or hike along a three-kilometer walk around the lake, and may also see small animals such as native birds, kangaroos, possum and echidna in the area.
