Introduction

Located on the western coast of Western Australia, Kalbarri National Park is about 560 kilometers south from the capital of Western Australia Perth covering an area of about 1830 square kilometers.

Kalbarri National Park is famous for its magnificent canyons and colorful wild flowers everywhere. the main landform of the national park is the kast landform, a weathered red sandstone. the national park is mainly divided into two parts, one is the valley around the mochison river (Murchison River), the other is the beautiful coastline extending 8 kilometers.

During the Kalbarri National Park, visitors can walk in the jungle, hike in the canyons or canoe, as if shuttling back to 400 million years ago, the ancient ocean tidal beach formed gorgeous red sandstone, the majestic Mochison River to the ocean, washed along the way to form a deep gully; While the same experience needs to be achieved in a more relaxed way, you can also drive to the main attractions and viewing platforms within the National Park, including the famous window of nature (Nature's Window), Z-curve (Z-Bend), Red Cliff (Red Bluff), Ruth Graham viewing platform (Ross Graham Lookout), Eagle Head viewing platform (Hawks Head Lookout), etc.

Although most of the local mammals are nocturnal, they can still be seen during the day with wild kangaroos and pelicans.

The main Kalbarri National Park hubs and visitor centers are in the small town of carl barry (Kalbarri) at the mouth of the mochson river on the west coast, a new town founded in 1951 with tourism and vacation as its main industry, with a resident population of about 1500.
