Introduction

Alice Springs Reptile Centre is located in Alice Springs, a small inland town in the central part of the Northern Territory.

Alice Springs Reptile Centre, the largest reptile exhibition in central Australia, showcases a wide variety of reptiles, and many rare animals are hard to meet in the wild. There are more than 100 reptiles in reptile center, which reproduce the habitat scene in natural environment. Visitors can enter gecko caves and watch small shy lizards, a unique breed that lives only in the surrounding areas of Alice Springs, Buckley Heights (Barkly Tablelands) and the northernmost part of (Top End). The saltwater avocado (Terry) is captive in a sealed pool with glass panels, giving visitors a glimpse of their underwater life and a great opportunity to take pictures. You can also watch the giant eye-spot lizards, the wrinkled lizards and the Australian lizards living in the desert, come in close contact with the pythons or watch the keepers feed the lizards, and through thick safety glass, you can see the most toxic snakes in the world. These include Inland Shield Snake, Brown Snake, Souththorn Snake and Acacia Anaconda.
