Introduction

John Forrest National Park, east of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is about 25km from downtown Perth and covers 26.78 sq km. John Forrest National Park, one of Australia's oldest nature reserves and the earliest established national park in Western Australia, sits in Darling Ranges. Visitors can enjoy bushwalking, mountain biking and swimming in rock pools. Hikers can try the rugged trails in the park, or follow the abandoned train path, looking for tranquil pools and magnificent waterfalls in the mountains. To the height, you can also look at the city's beautiful panorama. Visitors may also have a romantic getaway with local wildlife, with adorable birds, opossums, and beaver giving you a trip to the wild. If it is spring, you can enjoy the splendid wild flowers all over the mountains. John Forrest National Park offers convenient picnic facilities, while Rocky Pool is the most popular picnic area, taking a flat walk of about 450 meters to the scenic artificial pool where picnicking and lazy time are the best way to get close to nature.

Access to John Forrest National Park requires the purchase of tickets (prices until early 2020):
