Fort Hill (Castle Hill) is a hill in Townsville, the fourth largest city on Queensland's northeast coast. It is 286m above sea level and the highest point in Townsville. It was listed on Queensland's Historical Heritage list in 1993.
Located at the top of the castle hill, Castle Hill Lookout is the perfect location for a 360-degree panoramic view of the city of Townsville and the vast coastline, as well as the opposite magnetic island of (Magnetic Island).
There is no public transport on the mountain. It can be reached by car or on foot. It takes about 20 minutes.
