Hot index is not rating, it reflects the extent of how tourists know it. Hot index is nothing to do with whether the attraction is good or not, an attraction that everyone knows may not be good, one that nobody knows may not be bad.
1: Almost no one knows
2: Rare people know
3: Some people know
4: Most people know
5: Everyone knows

Fairbairn Dam is located on the southern outskirts of Emerald, a small town of (Central Highlands Region) in the central plateau of Queensland, on the (Lake Maraboon) bank of Malaben Lake, about 20 kilometers from Emerald.
Built in 1968 and completed in 1972, Fairbairn Dam is 823m long and 46m high. The dam cut off the Nuoga River and the Maraben Lake, one of Australia's largest artificial lakes, covers an area of about 150km2.
The scenery around Fairbairn Dam is great for walking, picnics and photos, sunset views at dusk, romantic atmosphere, and lots of lovely wild birds nearby.
