Introduction

Corroboree Rock Conservation Reserve is located in the south of the Northern Territory, about 35 kilometers by car from Alice Springs, a small inland town in the central part of the Northern Territory, and covers an area of 7 hectares.

The name of (Corroboree Rock) is derived from the gray dolomite pillar which is of great significance to the native inhabitants. The rock pillar is a part of the bitter water spring deposited in the salt lake 800 million years ago, and the dance rock is the sacred symbol of the (Eastern Arrente) of the Arendes of the aboriginal people in East China.

At the bottom of the rock you can see the dark gray and grayish five-flowered spots of the Dalmatian rock, surrounded by a ring of lowland that makes it look like an obelisk. Because of the lack of water in the area, the rock may not be a place for singing and dancing. The road to the ballroom rock is good and can be reached by ordinary two-drive cars.
