The Big Lobster the small town of Kingston SE. on the limestone coast of (Limestone Coast) in southern South Australia
Known for its high-quality lobster production, Kingston SE is a 17-meter, four-ton giant red lobster statue located at the entrance to Kingston SE main Street, one of Kingston SE's most famous landmark buildings.
Designed by artist Paul Kelly (Paul Kelly), The Big Lobster was originally built for two private clients to attract more visitors to Kingston SE's restaurant and visitor center. The sculpture, which took nearly half a year to build, was officially opened to the public on December 15, 1979.
