Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) is located in the city of Hobart, the capital of Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery has been set up to mark the history, art and culture of Tasmania, the highlight of which is the Tasmanian Aboriginal Gallery-Ningenneh Tunnel of the Tasmanian Indigenous Art Museum, which is meant to give knowledge and understanding, which is designed to mark the history and culture of the Tasmanian indigenous people and to provide an opportunity to understand the traditional, contemporary cultural practices and problems of the Tasmanian indigenous people. Here, visitors can see the first bark canoe that has been built by the aborigines of the Tasmania since the mid-19th century, exploring the mystery of Antarctica, the Colonial Art Gallery, the exquisite collection of art in the 20th century, and the world's most important Huon pine furniture collection, dating back to the early 19th century, as well as the ancient and dynamic plant communities of Tasmania, including the now extinct, Thylacine, and Tasmanian Tiger, in the Museum of Natural History.
Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery has children's exploration centers, cafes and shops.
