Loch Luna Game Reserve is located in the southeastern part of South Australia, the nearest town is Kingston-on-Murray, about 30 kilometers by car from the small town of Berri and about 225km from Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. It covers an area of 20.63 square kilometers.

Loch Luna Game Reserve has a wide range of water bodies, including lakes, narrow streams and shallow swamps, providing important habitats for many aquatic birds and mammals, where visitors can watch eagles, yellow-beaked spoonbills and sea carvings. Parrots, pelicans, white-faced herons and many other birds are often seen in wild animals such as kangaroos and guinea pigs.
Loch Luna Game Reserve is remote and inaccessible, and visitors are allowed to camp at designated camps along the river and along the (Chambers Creek) coast of the Chamberth Creek, where early registration is required, in addition to fishing, Rowing and swimming are popular leisure activities in the reserve.
