Introduction

Elsey National Park is located in the northern interior of the Northern Territory, about 120 kilometers from Catherine (Katherine), the fourth largest city in the Northern Territory, and the nearest town is Mataranka., about west of the National Park.

Elsey National Park covers an area of 138.96 square kilometers, is famous for hot springs and historical relics, and is also the place where Jenny Gan (Jeannie Gunn) 's film "Love World" (We of the Never). The quiet Eroper River (Roper River) winds its way through the picturesque national park with two ship slopes for cruise ships, and there are fishing spots along the (John Hauser) Trail in John Horse Lane, including historical sites such as the old bath amniotic fluid trough (Old Sheep Dip), rich rural history, World War II aboriginal barracks and 12-mile campsites (12 Mile Yards),). Visitors can walk along the 1.5km circular plant trail, enjoy the park's wide variety of plants, or return from an 8-kilometer return trail to Mataranka Falls (Mataranka Falls).

Elsey National Park's warm pool is famous for its reputation, with the Mataranka hot spring pool and rainbow spring (Mataranka Thermal Pool and Rainbow Springs) gushing out of the ground at a rate of 300 liters per second and flowing into a swimming pool at a temperature of 33 degrees Celsius all the year round, while the famous bitter spring (Bitter Springs) is nearby, Stevie's Hole) is not injected with hot spring water, located a little farther away.
