Brisbane Botanic Gardens is located on Mount Coot-Tha, on the western outskirts of Brisbane, Queensland, about 5 kilometers from downtown Brisbane. Be careful not to confuse it with (City Botanic Gardens), the Brisbane City Botanical Garden in downtown Brisbane.
Brisbane Botanic Gardens covers an area of about 7 square kilometers, originally known as Kusa Mountain Botanical Garden, which was officially opened to the public in 1976.

Tropical arch greenhouse, opened in December 1977, 28 meters in diameter and 9 meters high
