Introduction

Central Greenough Historic Settlement is a historic site located on the southern outskirts of Geraldton, a coastal city on the west coast of Western Australia, about 20 km north from Geraldton and about 390 km south from Perth, the capital of Western Australia.

Greenno is a historic village, on the (Brand Hwy) side of the Brand Road, one of the earliest colonial settlements in Western Australia. It was the administrative center of the surrounding area in the early 1860s, Greenno has become a thriving agricultural area, but the threat of reduced wheat crop production, combined with drought and floods, has led to a decline in the region's economy, which has led to a sharp decline in the population of the region. The buildings in the town are generally in a state of disrepair. Since the 1970s, the Western Australian government has begun to protect the whole village because of the wide recognition of its historical and cultural values.

Central Greenough Historic Settlement includes many small historic buildings, including churches, schools, courts, dwellings, etc. Although located in the desert, the environment is beautiful and lush with trees. Occasionally, a lot of cute llamas walk by on residents' farms.

The Central Greenno Coffee & Visitor Center (Central Greenough Cafe & Visitor Centre) is an entrance to the Central Greenough Historic Settlement Center with food and coffee services. Take Brand Road to McCartney Road (McCartney Road), and see the sign turn in.
